I see music as a way of reaching what often remains unspoken, bringing hidden emotions, memories, and inner states to the surface. I am especially drawn to Persian music for its subtle vocal expression and improvisational nature, which creates a direct connection between performer and listener.

In my work, I try to bring Persian music and electronic sound together, exploring a space where inherited memory and contemporary experience can meet.

Born in Nishapur, Iran, the city of Omar Khayyam, Sobhan Seyfi began learning music at the age of eight. He later earned a bachelor’s degree in Classical Music Composition from the University of Culture and Art in Tehran, followed by a Master of Music in Music Design at HKU University of the Arts Utrecht. He is currently based in the Netherlands, developing a personal musical language that brings Persian musical traditions into dialogue with contemporary electronic sound. Since moving to the Netherlands, he has performed in various solo and collaborative settings. He is continuing to expand his path within the Dutch art scene, aiming to bring Dutch audiences a different musical experience.
